Weather System: Southwest Monsoon

Light to Moderate rains is expected over #Apayao(Calanasan), #Cagayan(Lallo and Peñablanca), #Ifugao(Asipulo), #Isabela(Divilacan and SanMariano) and #MountainProvince(Barlig and Bontoc) which may persist within 1 to 2 hours.

Light to Moderate rains are being experienced over #Ifugao, #Isabela(IlaganCity and Palanan) and #MountainProvince(Sadanga and Sagada) which may persist for 1 to 2 hours.

FOR: TROPICAL DEPRESSION "HENRY"
TROPICAL CYCLONE: WARNING

TROPICAL DEPRESSION "HENRY" HAS SLIGHTLY ACCELERATED AS IT CONTINUES TO MOVE WESTWARD.

•Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal (TCWS) #1 has been lifted over Batanes and the northern portions of Cagayan and of Apayao.
•The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring monsoon rains over Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro Provinces, Palawan and Western Visayas, and scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the rest of the country. Residents of these areas, especially those living in low-lying and mountainous areas, are advised to continue monitoring for updates, coordinate with their local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and take appropriate actions against possible flooding and landslides.
•Sea travel remains risky over the western seaboard of Southern Luzon, while fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture over the seaboards of areas with TCWS #1 and the seaboards of the rest of Luzon.
•"HENRY" is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) today (17 July).
•Meanwhile, at 7:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 780 km East of Infanta, Quezon (15.3°N, 128.9°E). This weather disturbance may develop into a Tropical Depression in the next 48 hours.

Location of eye/center At 7:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "HENRY" was estimated based on all available data at 230 km West of Calayan, Cagayan (19.2°N, 119.3°E).

Strength:Maximum winds of up to 60 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 75 km/h.
Movement:Moving West at 25 km/h.

•24 Hour (Tomorrow morning): 1,025 km West of Calayan, Cagayan (OUTSIDE PAR) (19.4°N, 111.7°E)
•48 Hour (Thursday morning): 1,710 km West of Calayan, Cagayan (OUTSIDE PAR) (19.7°N, 105.2°E)

TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING SIGNAL

(30-60 kph Expected in 36 hours) Babuyan Group of Islands and northern portion of Ilocos Norte

•Very light or no damage to low risk structures,
•Light damage to medium to high risk structures
•Slight damage to some houses of very light materials or makeshift structures in exposed communities. Some banana plants are tilted, a few downed and leaves are generally damaged
•Twigs of small trees may be broken.
•Rice crops, however, may suffer significant damage when it is in its flowering stage.

Wave Height: (Open Sea) 1.25-4.0 meters

The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next Severe Weather Bulletin to be issued at 11 AM today.
